Job summary

Tools & Solutions in Riyadh seeks a Cloud Specialist to deploy and optimize VMware vSphere, manage IaaS/PaaS resources, and secure network and identity services in a GCC environment. You will configure AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs, while coordinating patching, backup, and disaster recovery processes.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with clients and a focus on reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure across on-prem and public clouds.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying and managing VMware vSphere environments.
• Knowledge of AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
• Experience with cloud IaaS/PaaS provisioning and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, administer, and optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure, including vCenter, ESXi, HA, DRS, and vMotion.
• Manage IaaS/PaaS resources across public clouds per architecture.
• Configure networking: VLANs, TCP/IP subnets, routing, load balancers.
• Implement network security: firewall rules, VPN troubleshooting, traffic isolation.
• Administer AD DS, forests, trusts, and GPOs.
• Manage DNS hierarchy, DNS records, DHCP scopes.
• Perform patching of hypervisors and cloud instances.
• Lead OS and application patch deployments using WSUS/SCCM or cloud managers.
• Veeam backup, DR drills and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, administer, and optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure, including vCenter, ESXi hosts, HA, DRS, and vMotion

Manage and provision IaaS/PaaS resources across public cloud environments while aligning with architectural best practices

Configure and troubleshoot foundational networking components, including VLANs, TCP/IP subnets, basic routing protocols, and load balancers

Implement network security basics, such as managing firewall access rules, VPN troubleshooting, and secure traffic isolation

Administer Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), managing forests, trusts, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

Manage the enterprise DNS hierarchy, internal/external zone resolutions, and DHCP scopes

Execute routine, zero-downtime patching cycles for hypervisors, cloud instances, and core infrastructure components

Lead centralized OS and application patch deployments utilizing enterprise tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM) or cloud-native update managers

Perform regular vulnerability remediations, hardware firmware upgrades, and compliance reporting

Design and maintain enterprise backup and replication jobs using Veeam Backup & Replication, enforcing immutable storage and the 3-2-1 rule

Conduct regular restoration testing, validate backup integrity, and orchestrate Disaster Recovery (DR) failover drills
