Job summary

WorleyParsons Arabia Limited Co in Saudi Arabia seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to deliver civil engineering services to Worley and its customers, underpinned by regulatory standards and project budgets.

The role includes preparing MTOs, BOQs, scopes of work, and technical specs for civil construction, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• MME Ministry of Municipality and Environment accreditation is mandatory; willingness to achieve it within probation.
• Civil and structural engineering experience in oil and gas for offshore and onshore projects.
• Experience in multidisciplinary projects and teams.
• Good knowledge of discipline design engineering across different disciplines.
• Good knowledge of civil design on bridges, pumping stations, low-rise buildings and basements.

Responsibilities

• Supports adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
• Delivers civil engineering services that meet Worley, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications on time and within budget.
• Performs civil engineering services such as conducting studies, analyses, and recommending actions.
• Identifies opportunities to solve problems through applying engineering knowledge.
• Identifies professional risks, statutory responsibilities, and liabilities.
• Ensures that supporting documentation required to implement the design is accurate, concise, complete, and clear.
• Prepares MTOs and BOQs.
• Prepares Scope of Work and technical specification for civil construction subcontracts.
• Prepares technical documentation for civil material requisition.
• If required, assists and supports junior personnel within the civil engineering team.
• Communicates effectively with the civil engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer.
• Identifies issues and problems, develops appropriate solutions, and seeks assistance when required.
• Performs discipline‑specific engineering services such as identifying and reporting changes to project scope.
• Contributes to appropriate studies, analyses, and recommends actions.
• Assists with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports.
• Provides assistance during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Knows the discipline scope, cost, time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success.
• Coordinates review and approval of design and interfaces on client requirements and specifications.
