Job summary

Delta Limited Co. in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Chief Steward to lead the stewarding operation of our large-scale catering business.

You will manage a team to ensure dishwashing, cleaning, and service ware meet Saudi authorities and client standards. The role requires extensive experience in stewarding, HACCP and food safety, and the ability to coordinate with the Executive Chef, Operations and Procurement for site mobilizations and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in stewarding with at least 3 years in senior roles.
• HACCP/food safety certification (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
• Strong leadership, organization and reporting skills; good English; Arabic a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule and train the stewarding team for daily service, banquets and large events.
• Oversee dishwashing, pot-washing, cleaning programs and deep-cleaning to a documented schedule.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, SFDA and Baladi requirements and prepare for audits.
• Manage chemicals, waste, pest control coordination and stock reporting.
• Maintain equipment, report faults and support site mobilization with Chef and Procurement.
• Enforce safety, PPE usage and personal hygiene across the team.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Steward to lead the stewarding operation of our large-scale catering business in Riyadh. You will keep kitchens, equipment and service ware clean, safe and ready to the standards of the Saudi authorities and our clients, and lead a team that supports daily service and large events.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule and train the stewarding team, including manpower planning for daily service, banquets and large events.
• Run dishwashing, pot-washing, kitchen cleaning and deep-cleaning programs to a documented schedule.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, SFDA and Saudi Municipality (Baladi) requirements, and keep the team ready for audits and client inspections.
• Control cleaning chemicals and dosing, waste handling, and coordination with the pest control contractor.
• Manage stock and losses of china, glassware, cutlery, pots and cleaning supplies, and report on breakage and costs.
• Check and maintain dishwashing machines and stewarding equipment, and report faults early.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef, Operations and Procurement to support the mobilization of new sites and large functions.
• Enforce safety, PPE use and personal hygiene across the team.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in stewarding, including a minimum of 3 years as Chief, Head or Senior Steward.
• Proven experience in large-scale catering, ideally with companies such as Sodexo, Saudi Catering, Nesma or similar.
• Experience managing large teams in operations serving thousands of meals per day. Valid HACCP and food safety certification (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
• Good knowledge of Saudi food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Strong leadership, organization and reporting skills. Good command of English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and peak periods.
