Job summary

IHG in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Carlton Al Moaibed Hotel) seeks an experienced Chief Steward to lead the Stewarding team. You will ensure top cleanliness and hygiene across kitchens and back-of-house areas, supervise daily operations, and support the Executive Chef and F&B teams.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in Stewarding with supervisory experience, and solid HACCP knowledge. English proficiency is important; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of Stewarding experience including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Good knowledge of HACCP and hygiene standards.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Stewarding team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchens and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment and glassware are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use.
• Support the Executive Chef and F&B teams with efficient stewarding operations.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and hotel hygiene standards.
• Monitor proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance of stewarding equipment with Engineering.
• Manage inventories of equipment, supplies, and chemicals.
• Minimize breakage and control operating costs through proper handling.
• Prepare schedules and provide training to Stewarding staff.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Hotel Management.
