Job summary

Confidential Government in Riyadh seeks an experienced advisor to act as the official liaison for international clean energy initiatives. The role involves engaging with forums, shaping cooperation, and advancing Saudi Arabia's leadership in carbon management and sustainable technologies.

The candidate will help define evaluation frameworks, encourage pilot projects, and coordinate with research centers to align national and international efforts on CCUS, hydrogen, and direct air capture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy Science or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in energy/climate field.
• 8+ years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provides advice as the official point of contact for international clean energy initiatives.
• Participates in international events and helps lead technologies related to hydrocarbon materials.
• Contributes to defining criteria for evaluating international initiatives in clean energy and climate.
• Recommends measures to align national policies with international efforts and promotes CCUS and related technologies.
• Supports R&D in technologies that reduce carbon dioxide emissions from conventional fuels and coordinates with research centers.
• Promotes research and development in carbon capture, hydrogen technologies, and direct air capture.
• Coordinates preparation for international conferences and bilateral climate agreements follow-up; adheres to organizational policies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Energy Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Climate Change, or related field

Master’s degree in Energy Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Climate Change, or related field (preferred)
