Qualifications

• 15+ years of accounting/financial management experience.
• Advanced experience with Odoo accounting configuration and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, project costing, and industrial finance.
• Experience with closed joint-stock or listed companies preferred.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, month-end and year-end close.

Job description

Thraa Holding is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead accounting operations, strengthen financial controls, and develop financial and administrative systems across the Group.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Odoo, construction accounting, industrial finance, project costing, corporate reporting, and financing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, month-end and year-end closing, and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable IFRS standards.
• Manage accounting and financial reporting across multiple companies, business activities, and projects.
• Develop and improve Odoo accounting processes, analytical accounts, reporting, user permissions, and financial workflows.
• Coordinate system implementation, data migration, reconciliations, testing, and integration with other financial systems.
• Manage construction accounting, including progress payments, subcontractor accounts, retention, advance payment recovery, project costs, and revenue recognition.
• Oversee industrial costing, inventory accounting, production variances, and profitability analysis.
• Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, project cost forecasts, and management reports.
• Monitor loans, financing facilities, debt repayment schedules, financial covenants, guarantees, and mortgage documentation.
• Support financial reporting, governance, and internal controls for closed joint-stock and listed companies, as applicable.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and relevant authorities, and lead and develop the accounting team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification subject to verification.
• At least 15 years of professional experience in accounting and financial management.
• Advanced practical experience with Odoo, including accounting configuration, analytical reporting, controls, and process improvement.
• Strong experience with other ERP or accounting systems.
• Proven knowledge of construction accounting, project costing, industrial finance, financing, and financial reporting.
• Experience with closed joint-stock companies or publicly listed companies is preferred.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in Arabic and English.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification are preferred.
• Must be Muslim, as specified in the recruitment requirements.
• Willingness to travel to and work in Saudi Arabia.
