Job summary

ABIS is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead our accounting team in the Riyadh region. You will oversee all accounting operations, ensure IFRS compliance, and provide accurate financial reporting to support strategic decisions.

The role requires strong leadership, deep accounting expertise, and the ability to drive internal controls and regulatory compliance. A CPA/ACCA/CMA and 7+ years in accounting, including 3+ in management, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field; professional certifications such as CPA/ACCA/CMA are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting regulations.
• Experience with ERP and accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Excellent analytical, organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial recording.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports and budgets in line with IFRS and company policies.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulators during audits.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support senior management decisions.
• Monitor cash flow, AR, and AP activities; mentor accounting staff.
