Job summary

Kudu company for food and catering in Riyadh seeks an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance, including IFRS and local tax rules. You will lead the accounting team and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing.

The role requires strong ERP and Excel skills, a degree in accounting, 7+ years of experience with 2-3 in supervision, and professional certifications (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, VAT, Zakat, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional certification (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily accounting operations and accounting team activities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Maintain the General Ledger, Trial Balance, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee banking transactions, loan accounting, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT, Zakat, WHT, and corporate tax requirements.
• Review financial transactions, accounting entries, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and support audit requirements.
• Manage ERP accounting controls, chart of accounts, and financial system integrity.
• Collaborate with reporting, budgeting, HR, and other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to management.
