Job summary

Abudawood in Riyadh seeks a leader to head the CBD Unit, overseeing strategy development, policy implementation, and day-to-day operations in our Riyadh-area business. You will work with affiliates and principals to ensure alignment with market goals and sustained competitive advantage at the point of purchase.

The role emphasizes budget control, joint business planning, shopper marketing, and cross-functional collaboration with section managers to drive volume targets and in-store presence

Responsibilities

• Strategy: Contribute to the development of the CBD unit objectives aligned with the overall strategy and ensure integration with other interfacing initiatives and departments across Abudawood.
• Policies, Processes and Procedures: Assist in development and implementation of CBD unit policies, processes, and procedures to meet procedural/legislative requirements.
• Day-to-day operations: Supervise day-to-day operations of the CBD unit to ensure processes are implemented as designed and compliant.
• CBD unit operations: Implement sales building blocks to develop and monitor the operation and take corrective actions to achieve volume targets in line with district and Abudawood targets.
• Monitor freshness, expiry and damages within the area of responsibility to ensure high quality standards.
• Signing/implementing agreements with customers as per principals guidelines to achieve in-store presence and optimal SKUs.
• Control and maximise efficiency/reporting, budget spend within authorised limits and deadlines to deliver unit objectives.
• Business Development: Develop Joint Business Plan and promotional calendar with Supervisors and Section Managers to include shopper marketing ideas and in-store solutions.
• Collaborate with shopper marketing, in-store innovation and below-the-line agencies to gain competitive advantage as per guidelines.
• Conduct business analysis to identify new ideas/projects related to category management, in-store solutions, shopper marketing or channel development to achieve a competitive edge.
• People Management: Supervise subordinates, provide feedback to ensure work is efficient and aligned with targets.
• Budget: Assist in CBD unit budget preparation with data analysis as directed.
• Reporting: Review department reports for accuracy and alignment with Abudawood requirements and standards.
• Markets studies: Report market studies (distribution, competitive) to enable right planning and early response.
• Safety, Health & Environment: Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental procedures to promote a safe work environment.
