Job summary

Afaq Q Tech General Trading, on behalf of Amazon’s MENA Grocery team, seeks a senior vendor manager to own category development from ground zero in Riyadh. You will build vendor relationships, shape sourcing strategy, and drive flawless execution with cross-functional partners.

The role requires strong business judgment, negotiation skills and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while delivering improvements to profitability and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 1+ years in account management, project/program management, or buying.
• Experience using Excel and other business analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Support category leaders to drive new strategic initiatives and business opportunities
• Negotiate and build strategic partnerships, align and close an end-to-end vendor relationship and terms of trade
• Build the annual seasonal portfolio to drive continuous traffic and engagement to the store-front
• Identify automation opportunities to offer scalable solutions, improve metrics like selection, profitability, pricing
• Post launches, own the P&L for hitting top and bottom-line targets with key stakeholders (Vendor, Ops, Advertising)
• Define selection assortment, refine mix to reduce shrinkage and improve CX
• Source deals during Tier 1/2 events to offer value to Prime Customers
• Negotiate marketing funds from vendors for category visibility during BAU/Events
• Prepare, Pitch & close Annual JBP.
