Job summary

Job description
  • Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner and assist them with their orders
  • Accurately process customer orders, including taking orders, entering them into the POS system, and ensuring that the correct items are prepared and served
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other types of payments, and provide accurate change as required
  • Maintain accurate cash and credit card transactions records and ensure that the cash register is balanced at the end of each shift
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, including wiping down counters, organizing merchandise, and ensuring that the area is free of clutter
  • Answer customer questions and resolve any issues or complaints in a polite and professional manner
  • Assist with restocking inventory, including food, beverages, and supplies
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Food handlers permit or willingness to obtain one
