Job summary

ISLAMIC CORPORATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR (ICD) seeks a Business Intelligence Developer to manage enterprise data integration, ETL processes, data modelling and analytical reporting. You will support BI capabilities across critical financial systems and drive continuous improvement in data accuracy and accessibility.

The role requires strong SQL/DAX skills, data governance focus and effective collaboration with IT and business users to enable forecasting and performance

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in BI, data integration, or related technology functions.
• Hands‑on experience in ETL development, data integration, data modelling, staging environments, data quality validation, and reconciliation.
• Proficient in English; Arabic and/or French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ownership of enterprise data integration, ETL development, staging environments and related data processes.
• Develop, maintain and optimize ETL processes to ensure accurate data integration.
• Design and optimize data models and SQL/DAX queries for reporting and analytics.
• Manage metadata to support data consistency and integrity across the enterprise.
• Develop dashboards, reports and analytics to support performance monitoring and forecasting.

JOB PURPOSE

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for enterprise data integration, business intelligence, reporting, and analytics to support effective business performance monitoring and forecasting. The role manages data integration, ETL processes, data modelling, reporting, and data quality to ensure accurate, consistent, reliable, and accessible information. The incumbent will also support users in effectively utilizing BI solutions while contributing to continuous improvement and strengthening internal BI capability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Data Integration, ETL & Data Management

• Provide dedicated ownership of enterprise data integration, ETL development, staging environments, and related data processes.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes to support accurate, consistent, and reliable data integration.
• Integrate data from multiple systems to ensure data consistency, reliability, and accessibility.
• Design and optimize data models and SQL/DAX queries to support accurate reporting and analytics.
• Manage metadata to support the consistency and integrity of enterprise data.
• Perform data quality validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of integrated data.
• Develop and maintain advanced dashboards, reports, and analytics to support business performance monitoring and forecasting.
• Ensure reporting solutions are supported by accurate, reliable, and appropriately integrated data.
• Develop and optimize data models and queries to enable effective reporting and analysis.
• Support the organization’s reporting and analytical requirements through effective utilization of business intelligence capabilities.
• Support the critical data and reporting capability required for the ICD Treasury Management System (FIS Balance Sheet Manager & FIS Treasury and Risk Manager), iMal Core Banking System and its subsequent business-as-usual support.

Data Governance, Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure compliance with applicable data governance, security, and quality standards across BI initiatives.
• Maintain appropriate data quality validation and reconciliation to support reliable reporting and analytics.
• Continuously improve BI solutions through the effective use of new BI features, automation, and relevant best practices.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness of data integration, reporting, and analytics.
• Support the continued improvement and sustainability of the organization’s BI and data capabilities.

User Support & BI Capability Development

• Provide ongoing support to users in accessing and effectively utilizing BI dashboards, reports, and analytics.
• Support users in understanding and interpreting available data and reporting outputs to facilitate effective use of BI solutions.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing on relevant BI tools, reports, dashboards, and analytical capabilities.
• Promote effective utilization of BI solutions across the organization to support business performance monitoring and forecasting.
• Strengthen internal BI capability through knowledge sharing and increased user awareness of available reporting and analytical capabilities.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Business Intelligence, data integration, data analytics, or related technology functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience in ETL development, data integration, data modelling, staging environments, data quality validation, and reconciliation.
• Capable of communicating in English. Whereas proficiency in Arabic and/or French is preferred.
