Job summary

CodeNinja is seeking a Backend Resource to design, develop and support Open Banking API infrastructure for Jeel, working on secure, scalable APIs aligned with enterprise standards. This role requires hands-on API development and potential transition to Production for ongoing support.

You will have deep IBM API Connect and DataPower expertise, strong Java and microservices experience, and prior banking/fintech delivery background. Onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in API development and management.
• Strong hands-on expertise with IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower Gateway.
• Proficiency in Java, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases and SQL.
• Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, JSON/XML, and REST/SOAP integration.
• Prior experience delivering solutions within banking or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and publish APIs on IBM API Connect aligned with enterprise standards and security policies.
• Configure API gateways, policies and DataPower for secure high-performance API traffic management.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support integration and consumer requirements.
• Optimize API performance, reliability and throughput across backend and integration layers.
• Collaborate with business, QA and technical teams during requirement gathering, testing and production deployments.
• Automate build, test and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools to ensure operational stability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve API integration and production issues across the backend stack.
• Prepare technical documentation, API specifications and deployment runbooks for the platform.

About the Role

We re hiring a Backend Resource to design develop and support Open Banking API infrastructure for Jeel working on secure scalable and well-governed APIs aligned with enterprise standards and digital transformation objectives One resource is expected to subsequently transition to the Production team for ongoing operational support This is a hands-on API development role requiring deep IBM API Connect and DataPower expertise working onsite with prior banking fintech delivery experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and publish APIs on IBM API Connect APIC aligned with enterprise standards and security policies
• Configure API gateways policies and DataPower for secure high-performance API traffic management

4-6 years of hands-on experience in API development and management

Strong hands-on expertise with IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower Gateway

Proficiency in Java, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture

Experience with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases and SQL

Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, JSON/XML, and REST/SOAP integration

Prior experience delivering solutions within banking or financial services
