Job summary

Pronto is seeking a seasoned Mining Engineer to lead on-site deployments and bridge the gap between cutting-edge autonomous haulage technology and mine operations. You will manage a high-performing technical team, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, and deliver projects on schedule.

The role requires 15+ years in mining, 5–10 years in leadership, and a proven track record with technology rollouts. You will collaborate with Pronto HQ and customer stakeholders to achieve seamless integration

Qualifications

• 15+ years of direct mining experience.
• 5–10 years in a leadership role (e.g., Site Superintendent, Maintenance Manager, or Fleet Manager).
• Proven track record in technology rollouts (autonomy, remote operations, telematics, or machine control).
• University Degree in Mining Engineering required for credibility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects to agreed performance metrics and safety criteria.
• Lead local field team, manage permits, scheduling, and safety compliance.
• Hold the customer accountable for deliverables and site readiness.
• Act as central communication hub between customer site and Pronto HQ and escalate blockers.
• Work with customers to integrate or modify operational processes for autonomous haulage.
• Lead customer training programs and formal system handover to mine operations.
