Job summary

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute technical mining projects. You will oversee the full lifecycle from design to handover, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.

Responsibilities include developing project plans, monitoring progress, managing resources, and mitigating risks. You will work closely with Project Managers and engineers in a dynamic site-based environment, including travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• N6 with trade test, National diploma, bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Engineering (Computer / Mining / Electrical /Electronic/Mechanical), or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Mining Industry or related hardware installation roles.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
• Experience working with remote teams is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Defining and reviewing project proposals and plans with colleagues and customers.
• Execution of projects including definition of project phases, elements and schedule.
• Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, performance standards.
• Prepare cost estimates.
• Loading of basic configurations and operating systems onto computing equipment following change management procedures.
• Maintain project data base of deployed systems and configurations.
• Write computer programs and manage data backups.
• Maintain relationships with Hardware Manager and Project Engineers.
• Identify business risks and opportunities related to business applications.
• Ensure activities comply with QHSE, ethics and compliance policies.
