Job summary

Hilton is seeking an Audio Visual Technician to operate and maintain the hotel’s AV equipment, ensuring flawless event delivery. You will set up and monitor systems for meetings, conferences, weddings and other functions, while coordinating with guests and hotel departments to meet technical requirements.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and document equipment status, contributing to Hilton’s hospitality excellence and memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with operation principles and fault judgment methods of large data centre infrastructure (power, air conditioning, fire control, security, monitoring, network).
  • Willing to cover day and night monitoring posts for a long period and have time to study.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, professionalism, and learning ability.
  • Active and motivated with a good sense of service.
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the hotel’s audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, microphones, projectors, screens, lighting, and video equipment.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor AV equipment for meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings, and other hotel events.
  • Respond promptly to AV-related issues and troubleshoot equipment to ensure smooth and uninterrupted events.
  • Install, configure, test, and dismantle AV equipment according to event requirements and schedules.
  • Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of AV equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
  • Monitor audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems during events and make adjustments as required.
  • Maintain proper records of AV equipment, tools, cables, and accessories, and ensure all equipment is stored safely after use.
  • Work closely with guests, event organizers, and hotel departments to understand their AV requirements and provide technical support.
  • Record maintenance activities, equipment issues, repairs, and any technical problems requiring further attention.

You are responsible for the general work order maintenance work assigned by your superior, or assisting the Engineering department’s maintenance team in completing other maintenance work. As an Audio Visual Technician, you’re not just responsible for ensuring the normal operation of hotel equipment – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
  • AV Equipment Operations: Operate and maintain the hotel’s audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, microphones, projectors, screens, lighting, and video equipment.
