Job summary

Hilton in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Audio Visual Technician to support our Hotels engineering team by maintaining and operating AV systems, wide-ranging equipment for events, and ensuring flawless guest experiences.

You will set up, monitor, and troubleshoot sound, lighting, and projection for meetings and banquets; perform preventive maintenance; coordinate with guests and departments; and keep accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Familiar with operation principles of large data centre infrastructure (power, cooling, fire, security, monitoring).
• Willing to work day and night shifts for extended periods.
• Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, professionalism, and learning ability.
• Self-motivated with a good sense of service.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the hotel's audio-visual equipment including sound systems, microphones, projectors, screens, lighting, and video gear.
• Set up, operate, and monitor AV for meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings, and events.
• Troubleshoot AV issues quickly to keep events running smoothly.
• Install, configure, test, and dismantle AV equipment per event requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and monitor system performance during events.
• Maintain inventory and records of AV gear and accessories.
• Collaborate with guests and hotel teams to understand AV needs.
• Document maintenance activities and any technical problems for follow-up.

You are responsible for the general work order maintenance work assigned by your superior, or assisting the Engineering department's maintenance team in completing other maintenance work. As an Audio Visual Technician, you're not just responsible for ensuring the normal operation of hotel equipment – you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

• AV Equipment Operations: Operate and maintain the hotel's audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, microphones, projectors, screens, lighting, and video equipment.
• Event & Meeting Support: Set up, operate, and monitor AV equipment for meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings, and other hotel events.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to AV-related issues and troubleshoot equipment to ensure smooth and uninterrupted events.
• Equipment Setup & Breakdown: Install, configure, test, and dismantle AV equipment according to event requirements and schedules.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of AV equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
• System Monitoring: Monitor audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems during events and make adjustments as required.
• Equipment & Inventory Management: Maintain proper records of AV equipment, tools, cables, and accessories, and ensure all equipment is stored safely after use.
• Guest & Team Support: Work closely with guests, event organizers, and hotel departments to understand their AV requirements and provide technical support.
• Documentation: Record maintenance activities, equipment issues, repairs, and any technical problems requiring further attention.

In Addition, This Role Requires The Following Minimum Qualifications

• Familiar with the operation principle and fault judgment method of large data centre infrastructure (power supply, air conditioning, fire control, security, monitoring, network, etc.).
• Willing to be engaged in the monitoring post for day shift and night shift for a long period, and have enough time to study.
• Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, professionalism, and learning ability.
• Active and motivated in work, with a good sense of service.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently.
