AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Architectural Inspector for Madinah, Saudi Arabia to supervise construction and ensure quality across high-rise, commercial and mixed-use projects. You will inspect works, verify drawings, manage ITPs, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely handover.
The role requires 5–10 years in architectural inspection and construction supervision, with preference for GCC experience and knowledge of BIM-based coordination.
Job Description Overview AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Architectural Inspector to support the construction supervision and quality assurance of major high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and large-scale building developments in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting architectural works, verifying compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and ensuring the highest standards of workmanship, quality, and project delivery throughout construction and handover phases.
Conduct inspections of architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable codes and standards. Review contractor Inspection Requests (IRs) and perform site inspections in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). Verify that architectural materials and finishes installed on site are approved and comply with project specifications. Inspect mock-ups, material samples, prototypes, and benchmark installations prior to full-scale implementation. Monitor construction quality and identify defects, deficiencies, and non-conforming works. Verify implementation and closure of corrective actions related to quality observations and NCRs. Review contractor method statements and quality procedures for architectural works. Coordinate with Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Landscape, and QA/QC teams to ensure multidisciplinary compliance. Inspect façade installations, waterproofing systems, sealants, and building envelope works to ensure proper execution. Verify dimensions, levels, alignments, tolerances, and finish quality against approved drawings. Maintain accurate inspection reports, snag lists, punch lists, and quality records. Monitor contractor progress and provide updates on inspection status and quality performance. Ensure compliance with project health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements during construction activities. Participate in site audits, quality reviews, progress meetings, and technical coordination workshops. Support authority inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Assist in material approval verification and monitor storage and handling of architectural materials. Participate in snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning support activities, and project handover inspections. Review as-built drawings, warranties, operation manuals, and handover documentation related to architectural works. Assist senior engineers and architects in resolving technical issues and site-related construction challenges. Ensure all architectural works are completed in accordance with approved quality procedures and contract requirements.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related discipline. Certification in Construction Inspection, Quality Control, or Architectural Inspection is preferred. Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is an advantage. Training in Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures is desirable. Knowledge of BIM-based construction coordination is advantageous. 5 to 10 years of professional experience in architectural inspection and construction supervision. Minimum 3 years of experience on high-rise and major building construction projects. Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC experience is highly preferred. Experience working with consultants, PMCs, developers, and contractors. Experience in construction, testing, snagging, handover, and defect liability phases.
