AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support the design review, construction supervision, technical coordination, and delivery of major high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and large-scale building developments in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will ensure all structural works are executed in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, Saudi regulations, international standards, and project quality and safety requirements. Your role Review and supervise structural construction activities for high-rise and large-scale building projects. Ensure structural works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable codes and standards. Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings and quality requirements. Review contractor quality records, concrete test results, steel test reports, and inspection documentation. Witness critical construction activities including concrete pours, reinforcement inspections, steel erection, and load testing. Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, façade, geotechnical, and construction teams to resolve design and site issues. Monitor contractor performance and progress against approved project schedules. Review and resolve structural technical queries and construction-related challenges. Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Participate in design coordination meetings, progress review meetings, and technical workshops. Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs while maintaining structural integrity and safety. Review structural variations, claims, and change requests for technical compliance. Ensure implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout construction. Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements on site. Support testing, commissioning, snagging, de-snagging, and project handover activities. Review as-built drawings and verify completion of structural works prior to handover. Prepare structural inspection reports, technical assessments, and progress reports. Assist in defect liability period inspections and closeout activities.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized university. Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred. Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is preferred. Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), M.I.StructE, MICE, or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable. PMP certification is an advantage. 10 to 15 years of professional Structural Engineering experience. Minimum 5 years of experience on major high-rise and large-scale building projects. Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC experience is highly preferred. Experience working with consultants, PMCs, developers, and contractors. Demonstrated experience in construction supervision, structural inspections, testing, and project handover. Experience reviewing structural calculations, shop drawings, and engineering reports. Understanding of structural integrity assessments, constructability reviews, and risk management principles. Familiarity with geotechnical reports, soil investigations, and foundation design coordination.
