Job summary

Edison Smart® is hiring an AI Presales Engineer to drive technical sales cycles for Generative AI and enterprise solutions in Saudi Arabia. You will lead discovery sessions, design architectures and develop PoCs, partnering with sales to advance complex opportunities.

The role requires deep knowledge of LLMs, RAG, vector databases and cloud platforms, plus hands-on Python, LangChain and LlamaIndex experience. Fluency in Arabic is a plus for the GCC market.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in technical presales, solutions engineering or similar customer-facing role.
• Proven track record with ML, NLP or Generative AI deployments.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG, vector databases and agentic AI.
• Experience designing PoCs and enterprise-scale solutions.

Responsibilities

AI Presales Engineer - Generative AI & Enterprise Solutions

Location: Riyadh or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia - must be based in country already!

We are partnering with a leading global technology and digital services organisation to appoint an AI Presales Engineer in Saudi Arabia.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of enterprise technology, artificial intelligence and commercial solution design, helping major organisations translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable AI solutions.

You will play a key role throughout the technical sales cycle, working closely with commercial teams and enterprise customers to shape AI strategies, design tailored architectures and demonstrate the business value of emerging technologies, including Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic AI workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with C-suite executives, business stakeholders and technical teams to identify challenges and qualify AI opportunities.
• Design secure, scalable enterprise AI architectures using LLMs, vector databases, conversational interfaces and cloud or hybrid environments.
• Develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes and tailored demonstrations to validate technical feasibility and demonstrate business value.
• Partner with sales teams to shape customer solutions and support the progression of complex enterprise opportunities.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs and RFIs, including statements of work, bills of materials and project delivery estimates.
• Advise customers on AI implementation considerations, including data privacy, security, data sovereignty and regulatory compliance.
• Translate complex technical concepts into compelling business propositions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• 5-7+ years of experience in technical presales, solutions engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• A demonstrable track record of working with machine learning, NLP or Generative AI deployments.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases and agentic AI applications.
• Practical experience with Python and frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Exposure to enterprise AI platforms and cloud environments, including Azure AI, AWS Bedrock or Google Cloud.
• Experience designing solutions for enterprise customers, developing PoCs and supporting complex technical sales cycles.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior decision-makers.
• A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience delivering AI solutions within large, complex enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud, private cloud and enterprise data environments.
• Experience navigating data security, sovereignty and compliance considerations in the GCC.
• Arabic language skills and familiarity with the Saudi Arabian enterprise market.
