Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to support the TSS AGE Shop in DHAHRAN. The role emphasizes adherence to RSAF Technical Orders, calibration readiness, and accurate record-keeping for Tornado AGE items.

The ideal candidate has appropriate technical qualifications, Saudi registration, and several years in aircraft maintenance within a live flying environment. Saudi national preference applies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft maintenance and engineering principles.
• Proven ability to follow technical orders and maintain records.
• Post-qualification experience in operational flying environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support in the TSS AGE Shop operations.
• Maintain compliance with RSAF Technical Orders and procedures.
• Prepare items for calibration and diagnose AGE issues with appropriate tools.
• Maintain servicing records for Tornado AGE items.
• Ensure tool control and provide progress briefings to stakeholders.

Grade: 8

Location: DHAHRAN

Working hours: full time

Responsibilities

• The efficient day-to-day support in the running of the TSS AGE Shop
• Maintaining good engineering practice and compliance with RSAF Technical Orders
• Prepare items for calibration within the work area
• Diagnose AGE issues through use of appropriate test equipment and technical publications
• Maintain servicing records for all items of Tornado dedicated AGE
• Carry out TCTO’s and Special Inspections when directed
• Ensure compliance with tool control processes and proceduresBe able to provide functional guidance to the SNTTP programs in respect of any engineering issues that may arise
• Monitor all supply issues affecting the TSS AGE Shop
• Providing up to date briefings and information to all concerned parties on daily progress and raising any issues affecting the TSS AGE Shop output
• Responsible for reporting and encouraging expedient Error Management Reporting, addressing or highlighting any safety concerns and failings immediately
• Identify and execute opportunities to improve and enhance the delivery of the TSS service and encourage a Continuous Improvement culture.

Job Requirements

• Essential:
• A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA

OR

• Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA
• Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required
• Saudi Council of Engineering (SCE) Registration
• Have at least 5 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on same aircraft type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP)
• Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering
• Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role

• Desirable:
• Broad Aerospace and Defence company / industry knowledge
• An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures
• Understand and use Maintenance GoldESP system or similar platform
• Be fully conversant with the interpretation of technical diagrams and Documentation
