Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Jet Engine Maintenance Technician in Saudi Arabia to perform maintenance on jet engines and aircraft components, ensuring compliance with RSAF orders and MOE. You will inspect, maintain and test engines on/off aircraft, while overseeing tool control and spare parts using GOLDesp.

The role requires a recognized technical qualification and 5 years post-qualification experience (or 3 years on the same aircraft type), plus SCE membership and SNTTP/TSNTTP familiarity.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in a technical discipline with an approved apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years post-qualification maintenance experience in an operational flying environment or 3 years on the same aircraft type.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft maintenance, human factors and safety.
  • SCE membership in KSA prior to starting the role must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain jet engine and component areas in line with RSAF Technical Orders and MOE.
  • Inspect, repair, overhaul, test and service aircraft systems and components.
  • Manage spare parts using GOLDesp and provide technical guidance for SNTTP programs.
  • Carry out TCTOs and special inspections as directed.
  • Develop assigned SNTTP trainees.

Jet Engine Maintenance Technician - 00138049

  • Maintaining good engineering practices and compliance with RSAF Technical Orders inall aspects of the Jet Engine work area, i.e on aircraft or component maintenance.
  • Component Maintenance, inspects, surveys, evalutes, install, repairs, maintain, troubleshoots, service, overhauls, modifies and tests off aircraft systems components whilst undergoing OJT to gain levels of certification of own work.
  • On aircraft, installs, repairs, services, modifies and tests aircraft systems.
  • Ensures work is carried out in accordance with the standards and procedures detailed within the MOE.
  • Ensures strict tool control is carried out in accordance with tool control procedures.
  • Managing spare parts requirements using GOLDesp logistics system.
  • Be able to provide functional guidance to the SNTTP programs in respect of any engineering issues that may arise.
  • Carry out TCTO’s and Special inspections when directed.
  • Development of assigned SNTTP trainees.
Job Requirements:
  • A recogised qualification to NVQ/ONC/OND/BTEC Level 3 in the relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technicial qualification acceptable to M&CA.
  • Have at least 5 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on the same aircraft type OR successful completion of a BAESSA apprenticeship programme ( SNTTP / TSNTTP ).
  • Relevant type training ( Q Course ) and specific training if required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
  • Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health and safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.
  • The successful candidate, Saudi or Expatriate must obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level, prior to starting the new role or commencing employment in KSA. SCE membership must be maintained throughout their employment in this role.
  • Board aerospace and defence cpmpany / industry knowledge.
  • An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating proccedures.
  • Be able to work in close hammony in a mixed EE/SN Workforce.
  • Post holder must be HF trained.
  • Hold a current driving license.
