Job summary

BAE Systems KSA in DHAHRAN seeks an experienced maintenance professional to service aircraft systems, including strip, survey and overhauls, and to perform standard serviceability tests on hydraulic and pneumatic components.

Essential qualifications include NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level or Part 66 license, Saudi Council of Engineering registration, and 5 years post-qualification maintenance experience in operational flying aircraft environments, with safety and human factors awareness.

Qualifications

  • Recognised technical qualification (NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC) or equivalent.
  • Part 66 license (current or lapsed) is acceptable.
  • Saudi Council of Engineering registration is required or desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform component maintenance, including strip, survey, repairs and overhauls.
  • Conduct standard serviceability tests on hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  • Maintain tool control and ensure compliance with RSAF Technical Orders.
  • Report spare part requirements using GoldESP or similar systems.
  • Carry out TCTOs and Special Inspections as directed.

Responsibilities
  • Component Maintenance including strip & surveying of assets, inspections, repairs, overhauls and modifications
  • Conducting Standard Serviceability Tests on a combination of both hydraulic and pneumatic system components
  • Maintaining good engineering practices with regards to compliance with RSAF Technical Orders
  • Ensures strict tool control is carried out in accordance with tool control procedures
  • Ensuring all industrial equipment (test rigs) used specifically within the Pneudraulics Bay is adequately maintained and utilised accordingly
  • Managing and reporting all spare part requirements using the GoldESP system or similar platform; pro-actively bringing the requirements to the attention of BAESAI of any “Nil-Stock” or “low balance” items
  • Carry out TCTO’s and Special Inspections when directed
  • Imperative that individuals are receptive to and work closely with BAESAI, striving to complete all directed tasks to ensure immediate asset availability from shelf-stock
  • Responsible for reporting and encouraging expedient Error Management Reporting, addressing or highlighting any safety concerns and failings immediately
  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve and enhance the delivery of the TSS service and encourage a Continuous Improvement culture.

Job Requirements:

Essential:

  • A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA

OR

  • Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA
  • Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required
  • Saudi Council of Engineering (SCE) Registration
  • Have at least 5 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on same aircraft type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP)
  • Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering
  • Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role

Desirable:

  • Broad Aerospace and Defence company / industry knowledge
  • Understand and use Maintenance GoldESP system or similar platform
  • Be fully conversant with the interpretation of technical diagrams and
  • Documentation.
