Path2Success is seeking a Head Host/Hostess to deliver welcoming service, manage the reservation process, and ensure a smooth dining experience for VIP and referral guests at our Doha venue.

You will maintain high standards of grooming, coordinate seating, monitor wait times, and contribute to staff training when needed, ensuring an impeccable front-of-house operation.

Job description

This role is individually contributing assigned work by presenting a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards. The Head Host/Hostess is meeting and greeting customers upon arrival, informs of their waiting time, monitors the waiting list, enters guest names in the computer system, shows their table and ensures a quick turnaround time. The Head Host will take phone calls for reservations, manage and update the referral guests contact list for promotional activities and remember key preferences of VIP guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deals with all customers in a tactful, polite and friendly manner
• Opens whenever possible the front door for customers entering or leaving the Restaurant/ outlet
• Welcomes customers by greeting with enthusiasm while leading them to the record reservations, with patience at all times
• Thanks guests as they leave and invites them to return
• Keeps the working area/ restaurant tidy and clean, this includes hovering and mopping, perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glasses, ensures restrooms are clean, stocked and orderly.
• Assists customer’s need, refilling beverages, billing out and doing multitask when necessary, like answering phone calls and fills to go orders.
• Provides senior management with feedback about arising customer complaints, encountered service issues
• Visits customers table when necessary to ensure the needs are attended
• Ensures full adherence to internal SOP, Hygiene and Food safety standards
• Answers calls for reservations, cancellations or general inquiries
• Upholds impeccable grooming standards at all times
• Understands and memorizes seating chart, VIP or referral guest names and preferences
• Coordinates seating arrangements and ensure turnaround is achieved as per operational parameters
• Advises senior management on table turnaround to increase overall operational efficiency
• Trains and guides new employees in the same job line in other outlets/ brands if necessary
