Job summary

HSBC Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) – International Mid-Market team in Qatar seeks a high-performing Relationship Manager GCB5 to manage a portfolio of mid-market to large corporate clients with international ambitions.

You will expand partnerships, act as trusted advisor on cross-border solutions, and collaborate with product specialists across HSBC’s network to deliver tailored financial services and manage risks effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Experience in Corporate Banking managing mid-market or large corporate relationships is expected.
• Ability to match client needs with financial solutions such as Treasury & Cash Management, Trade Finance, FX, and lending/financing.
• Strong commercial acumen and awareness of economic and regulatory trends.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in commercial lending and risk assessment.
• Client-centric mindset with a drive to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Expand existing client partnerships and secure new, long-term relationships aligned with HSBC’s international strategy.
• Serve as a consultative partner, providing insights and guidance to help clients succeed locally and internationally.
• Proactively identify and engage high-value prospects within your target market.
• Collaborate with product specialists and international colleagues across HSBC’s network to deliver tailored solutions and increase share of wallet.
• Own the client experience and support junior colleagues in delivering high service standards.
• Proactively manage credit, operational, regulatory and financial crime risks across the portfolio.
• Ensure full adherence to internal policies, controls, and external regulations.
