Job summary

HSBC in Qatar seeks a high-performing Relationship Director for Corporate & Institutional Banking, International Mid-Market, to manage a portfolio of internationally minded corporates with revenues from $100m to $2bn+. You will connect clients to HSBC’s global network and full suite of banking solutions.

You’ll lead cross-border advisory, drive revenue, and ensure exceptional service while collaborating with product and risk teams across HSBC’s network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required to obtain a work permit.
• 10+ years’ experience in Corporate/Commercial Banking or Financial Services with relationship management accountability.
• Strong knowledge of corporate banking products: cash management, trade, FX, lending/structured solutions.
• Solid credit and lending experience, including complex facilities and risk assessment.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate across product and risk teams.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
• Client-centric mindset, commercial acumen, and ability to deliver in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Growing and deepening client relationships, expand IMM relationships and originate new-to-bank opportunities.
• Be a strategic advisor, provide consultative insights for cross-border and global market dynamics.
• Own the client experience, deliver best-in-class service, act as senior escalation point for client needs.
• Drive sustainable revenue growth, partner with product specialists to increase HSBC’s share of the client’s global wallet.
• Lead credit and risk discipline, credit assessment, deal structuring and approvals support.
• Manage operational, regulatory and financial crime risk with adherence to policies and regulations.
• Build networks and market profile, strengthen HSBC’s presence with the local business community and intermediaries.
