Job summary

SMBC Doha is seeking a Director in META to manage Qatar client relationships, support exotic business activities, and originate new business. You will advise senior management, coordinate across internal and external teams, and ensure alignment with budget objectives.

The role involves marketing support, maintaining a strong Qatar client network, and navigating cross-border compliance and regulatory dynamics. Leadership of junior staff may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Qatar client relationships with financial institutions.
• Ability to analyze market conditions and advise senior management.
• Proven track record in origination of new business and cross-border activity.
• Strong leadership and team coordination across internal/external staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing Qatar clients and target new ones.
• Support marketing activities and assist in origination of new business.
• Provide strategic/business development support to senior management.
• Monitor political, economic and regulatory changes affecting the bank.
