Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to the dedicated team, organizing priorities and directing daily operational workflows.
- Function as the primary technical point of contact.
- Participate actively in the operation and administration of security environments.
- Lead complex troubleshooting efforts and coordinate critical incident resolution.
- Validate configuration changes, rulesets, security policies, and planned maintenance windows.
- Oversee escalation paths to L3 support teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Track security vulnerabilities, patching schedules, firmware upgrades, capacity, system performance, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure high standards for operational documentation, runbooks, baseline guidelines, and audit evidence.
- Engage in governance meetings, reporting routines, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing between the local team and the 24x7 operational hub in Spain.
- Support project phases including Transition, Shadowing, Reverse Shadowing, and Go-Live/Exploitation.
Technical Skills
- In-depth expertise in critical and highly complex network security infrastructures.
- Strong hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Cisco, Check Point, and Fortinet security appliances.
- Solid technical background in Cisco Firepower/FMC, Check Point Quantum/CloudGuard, and FortiGate/FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer tools.
- Advanced proficiency in VPN technologies, IPS/IDS, network segmentation, security policy enforcement, system hardening, and rule optimization.
- Practical knowledge of F5 BIG-IP/LTM solutions and public cloud security (Azure/AWS).
- Proven experience in technical handling of severe incidents within multi-vendor environments.
- Working knowledge of ITIL best practices, Change Management processes, and ITSM platforms.
- Strong coordination capabilities with SOCs, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business partners.
Candidate Profile
- Ideally 8+ years of professional background focused on Network Security.
- Previous background serving as a Technical Lead, Senior Security Engineer, or in an equivalent capacity.
- Demonstrated track record within managed services and multi- vendor enterprise environments.
Desirable Certifications
- Check Point CCSE;
- Fortinet FCP (or equivalent credential);
- F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator or F5 LTM Specialist;
- ITIL Foundation;
- Azure/AWS Security certifications are considered a strong advantage.
