Adentis Portugal is hiring an experienced Network Security Engineer to manage and harden firewall infrastructures across Cisco, Check Point, and Fortinet ecosystems. The role focuses on configuring rules, auditing access, and maintaining secure, reliable connectivity for large-scale operations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in network security, hands-on experience with major vendors, and the ability to work independently in mission-critical environments.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of hands-on Network Security experience.
• Experience with Cisco, Check Point or Fortinet product suites.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex security and network issues.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and maintain firewall infrastructures (Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet).
• Configure and audit security rules, objects, and access policies.
• Set up site-to-site VPNs and remote access solutions.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, NAT, routing, and security policy issues.
• Perform patching, firmware updates, and platform hardening.
• Monitor availability, health, and performance of networks.
• Participate in incident resolution and problem analysis.
• Keep CMDB assets and runbooks up to date.
• Log and track vendor tickets through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Cisco, Check Point, and Fortinet firewall infrastructures.
• Provision, modify, audit, and decommission security rules, objects, and access policies.
• Configure and support site-to-site VPN tunnels and remote access solutions.
• Perform detailed troubleshooting of connectivity, NAT settings, routing issues, security policies, and deep packet inspection.
• Execute firmware updates, system patching, and platform hardening procedures.
• Monitor network availability, health status, capacity trends, and operational performance.
• Participate actively in incident resolution, root-cause problem analysis, and change management workflows.
• Conduct rule base optimization, removing redundant, obsolete, or overly permissive policies.
• Keep infrastructure documentation, CMDB assets, topology maps, and operational runbooks fully up to date.
• Log, manage, and follow up on technical support vendor tickets through to final resolution.

Technical Skills

• Cisco Secure Firewall / Firepower and FMC management.
• Check Point Quantum, Security Management, and CloudGuard ecosystems.
• Fortinet FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer suite.
• Hands-on knowledge of VPNs, IPS/IDS, NAT, routing protocols, network segmentation, and High Availability setups.
• Log analysis proficiency and experience integrating security devices with SIEM and monitoring platforms.
• Understanding of ITIL framework and hands-on exposure to ITSM systems.

Candidate Profile

• Ideally 5+ years of hands-on experience in Network Security.
• Solid practical experience operating products from at least two of the three major vendors (Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet).
• Proven capability to work independently in mission-critical environments.

Desirable Certifications

• Cisco CCNP Security or CCNA Security;
• Check Point CCSA or CCSE;
• ITIL Foundation.
