Job summary

Hexa Consulting seeks a Senior IT Support and Systems Administrator to provide second-line support and systems administration in a hybrid setup based in Trofa. The role focuses on infrastructure reliability, secure operations and continuous improvement across Windows and Linux environments.

You will handle incident resolution, backups, DR, access control and security policy implementation while collaborating with security teams.

Qualifications

• Senior IT support and systems administration experience in infrastructure environments.
• 5–10 years in comparable technical settings.
• Technical education in CS/CE or similar is valued; formal certs a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line incidents resolution for networks, OS and applications.
• Install, configure and maintain workstations, printers and mobile devices.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Administer and monitor physical and virtual servers.
• Support Windows and Linux desktop/server environments.
• Implement security policies and access control practices.
• Manage backups, DR procedures and recovery activities.
• Monitor performance, analyze logs and report on metrics.
• Apply software updates and patches for security.
• Document procedures and configurations.
• Participate in infrastructure improvement and new systems implementations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to improve processes.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior IT Support and Systems Administrator to provide second-line support and systems administration in a hybrid environment based in Trofa. This opportunity is within a corporate technology environment and focuses on infrastructure reliability, user support, secure operations and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Analyse and resolve complex second-line incidents related to networks, operating systems and corporate applications.
• Install, configure and maintain workstations, printers, peripherals and mobile devices.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Administer and monitor physical and virtual servers.
• Support Windows and Linux operating systems across desktop and server environments.
• Implement security policies and contribute to access control practices.
• Manage backups, recovery procedures and disaster recovery activities.
• Monitor system performance, analyse logs and report on operational indicators.
• Apply software updates, vulnerability corrections and security patches.
• Provide second-level technical support for infrastructure incidents and problems.
• Document procedures, configurations and technical solutions.
• Participate in infrastructure improvement initiatives and new system implementations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to improve support processes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Senior experience in IT support, systems administration or similar infrastructure roles.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in comparable technical environments.
• Technical or higher education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar area is valued.
• Ability to work autonomously on complex support and infrastructure topics.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to operational continuity.
• Collaborative, responsible and solution-oriented approach.
• Professional working proficiency in Portuguese.
• Intermediate working proficiency in English.
• Availability to work on-site in Trofa three days per week.
• Availability to start within 30 to 60 days.
