Job summary

Siemens Healthineers AG in Portugal is seeking a Subledger Accountant to join our Accounting & Controlling Regional HUB. You will help ensure accurate financial statements across multiple entities and countries in Europe.

The role requires fluent English, SAP Financials knowledge, and strong Excel skills. You will perform general and sub-ledger accounting, reconciliations, cash postings, and support audits and projects.

Qualifications

• English fluency required (written and spoken).
• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP Financials is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and sub-ledger accounting activities.
• Analyze accounting reports and financial statements.
• Post 3rd party invoices and postings.
• Perform GL, bank, vendor and customer reconciliations.
• Post cash & bank transactions and allocate cash to customers.
• Support auditing processes and accounting projects.

Then come and join our team as Subledger Accountant in our Accounting & Controlling Regional HUB that is an accounting, closing, and reporting competence centre, covering most companies of Siemens Healthineers in Europe. It ensures the correctness of the Financial Statements of 29 entities in the following countries: Belgium, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Malta, Morocco, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Wales and United Kingdom.

Subledger Accountant (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Perform general accounting activities and sub-ledger accounting activities.
• Perform analysis of accounting reports, financial statements.
• Perform posting of 3rd party Invoices.
• Perform account Reconciliation (GL, Banks, Vendors, Customers).
• Perform posting cash & bank transactions.
• Perform Cash allocation to customer accounts.
• Perform quality checks and provide answers on accounting matters.
• Support the auditing processes.
• Support accounting related projects.

Your qualifications and experience

Fluent in English, written and spoken (mandatory).

Knowledge of another language will be a plus (Ex.: German, French, etc.).

User knowledge in SAP Financials will be a plus.

Very good MS Office knowledge, particularly in Excel.

University Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.

Communication skills and team orientation.

Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, in a changing environment.

Results and quality orientation.
