Job summary

Siemens Global Business Services (GBS) in Portugal invites a seasoned Real Estate Accounting specialist to join our FPS team. You will record transactions in SAP, support month-end closings, and deliver reliable financial statements.

You will leverage SAP Hana, Tableau, and Winshuttle to automate reporting, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and travel if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related fields.
• 5+ years of professional experience in corporate accounting, reporting, consulting or auditing.
• Experience in SAP would be a plus.
• Fluency in English.
• Availability to travel, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Record and monitor day-to-day accounting transactions in SAP, with accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Perform the month-end and quarter-end closing routines, including but not limited to calculations of accruals, deferrals and real estate taxes.
• Keep abreast of changes in external accounting guidelines and foster the adoption of real estate's accounting principles.
• Support our partners in the preparation of accurate and reliable financial statements.
• Prepare highly automated data reconcilations.
• Create and deliver high quality, consistent and tailor-made reports in which our partners can rely on for effective decision-making processes.
• Leverage and adopt new technologies and reporting systems (e.g. SAP Hana, Tableau, Winshuttle) to automate reporting processes and deliver an increased value to our partners.
• Handle critical queries and provide accurate information to our real estate partners.
• Get to know the corporate real estate business and interfaces to enhance, harmonize and improve processes.]

We are looking for someone with…

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related fields.

- More than five years of professional experience similar fields, like corporate accounting, reporting, consulting or auditing.

- Experience or knowledge on Global Business Services environment would be a plus.

- Experience in SAP would be a plus.

- Advanced knowledge on Microsoft Office applications, especially in Excel.

- Fluency in English.

- Availability to travel, if needed.

- Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure.

- Good communication skills and ability to work with a multitude of different stakeholders.

- Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team.
