Job summary

Quion seeks a seasoned Release Manager to own end-to-end releases across systems and suppliers, ensuring secure, predictable delivery with minimal business disruption. You will coordinate between Product, Engineering, Operations, Security, and external partners across the SDLC.

The role requires 5+ years in release/IT delivery coordination, strong planning and stakeholder management, and excellent English. A hybrid model with 3 days in the Matosinhos office is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Minimum 5 years in Release Management, Change Management, IT Delivery, Project Management, or similar coordination role.
• Experience with complex IT environments and multiple stakeholders/suppliers.
• Understanding of software development, testing, infrastructure, and release management processes.
• Experience coordinating releases across multiple teams and systems.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries is a plus.
• Strong planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Flexibility to coordinate releases outside standard office hours; overtime compensated elsewhere in the week.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate end-to-end releases across systems and suppliers.
• Manage the release calendar aligned with business priorities and readiness.
• Lead release execution including deployment windows and security patches.
• Coordinate between Product, Engineering, Operations, Security, and suppliers.
• Monitor progress, risks, and issues; escalate as needed.
• Ensure compliance with release, change, testing, and governance processes.
• Coordinate environment readiness across development to production.
• Drive continuous improvement of release practices and automation.
• Prepare release plans, notes, outcomes, and lessons learned for stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration and operational excellence across the SDLC.
