Quion Groep B.V. is seeking a Release Manager to own end-to-end releases across software, infrastructure, and security domains, coordinating with Product, Engineering, Operations, Architecture, Security and external partners.

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries is a plus.
• Strong planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Willingness to coordinate releases outside standard office hours as part of a shared rotation.

What will you do?

The Release Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, governance, operational coordination, and successful delivery of software, infrastructure, platform, and security-related releases across the organization and its strategic suppliers. The role ensures that releases are delivered predictably, securely, and with minimal business disruption while maintaining compliance, operational stability, and customer satisfaction. The Release Manager acts as the central point of coordination between Product, Engineering, Operations, Architecture, Security, Program Management, and external partners to enable efficient and controlled delivery throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate end-to-end releases across systems and suppliers

• Manage the release calendar, ensuring alignment with business priorities, project roadmaps, and operational readiness

• Lead release execution, including critical deployment windows, Friday evening releases, and Microsoft security patch deployments

• Act as the central point of coordination between Product, Engineering, Operations, Security, Architecture, and external partners

• Monitor release progress, dependencies, risks, and issues, ensuring timely communication and escalation when needed

• Ensure compliance with release, change, testing, and governance processes to safeguard stability and quality

• Coordinate environment availability and readiness across development, test, acceptance, and production environments

• Drive continuous improvement of release management practices, deployment automation, and delivery processes

• Prepare and communicate release plans, release notes, outcomes, and lessons learned to stakeholders

• Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and operational excellence throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

What do you need for this position ?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Release Management, Change Management, IT Delivery, Project Management, or a similar coordination role

• Experience working in complex IT environments with multiple stakeholders and suppliers

• Understanding of software development, testing, infrastructure, and release management processes

• Experience coordinating releases across multiple teams and systems

• Experience within financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries is considered an advantage

• Strong planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and competing priorities in a dynamic environment

• Strong communication and facilitation skills

• Flexibility to coordinate releases outside standard office hours as part of a shared rotation across locations; overtime is compensated in hours elsewhere in the week

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to have:

• Technical background with the ability to collaborate effectively with Product Teams, Platform Teams and Suppliers

• Knowledge of Agile, Lean and continuous improvement methodologies

• Experience in financial services, fintech or other regulated industries
