Job summary

Rumos Lisbon seeks an experienced Release Manager for a hybrid workplace to oversee Jira ticket planning, Git branching, and deployment readiness. You will coordinate weekly release alignment, document deployment steps, and act as the main liaison with external teams on release status and requirements.

Ideal candidates have a 9+ year track record in similar roles, strong English, and a meticulous, deadline‑driven approach to production deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, CS, Mathematics, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 9 years of professional experience in similar roles.
• Advanced experience with Git, including architecture and branching strategies.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex merge conflicts under deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple complex workflows with release status visibility.
• Proven quick, analytical decision‑making in high‑risk production deployments.
• Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
• Strong teamwork, organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise planning of Jira tickets and ensure adherence to release protocols.
• Manage Git branch merges and package compilation for deployments.
• Schedule, coordinate, and lead weekly release alignment meetings.
• Compile final delivery manifests and document deployment steps.
• Manage urgent delivery situations and make decisions to postpone or cancel releases when needed.
• Act as primary liaison with external teams regarding release status and specifications.
