Quion is expanding its IT Operations team in Porto and seeks a Release Manager to own end-to-end releases across systems and suppliers. You will coordinate the release calendar, manage deployment windows, and ensure security patching while maintaining governance and operational stability.

The role requires 5+ years in release-related roles, strong planning and communication skills, and fluency in English. The Porto office supports a hybrid model with three office days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Release Management, Change Management, IT Delivery, Project Management, or similar coordination role.
• Experience in complex IT environments with multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
• Understanding of software development, testing, infrastructure, and release management processes.
• Experience coordinating releases across multiple teams and systems.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries is an advantage.
• Strong planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Flexibility to coordinate releases outside standard office hours; overtime is compensated in hours elsewhere in the week.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsabilités

• Own and coordinate end-to-end releases across systems and suppliers.
• Manage the release calendar, ensuring alignment with business priorities, project roadmaps, and operational readiness.
• Lead release execution, including critical deployment windows, Friday evening releases, and Microsoft security patch deployments.
• Act as the central point of coordination between Product, Engineering, Operations, Security, Architecture, and external partners.
• Monitor release progress, dependencies, risks, and issues, ensuring timely communication and escalation when needed.
• Ensure compliance with release, change, testing, and governance processes to safeguard stability and quality.
• Coordinate environment availability and readiness across development, test, acceptance, and production environments.
• Drive continuous improvement of release management practices, deployment automation, and delivery processes.
• Prepare and communicate release plans, release notes, outcomes, and lessons learned to stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and operational excellence throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
