Job summary

Hitachi Rail Limited in Portugal is seeking a Planner to support Project Managers in planning, monitoring and control across the project lifecycle. The role involves developing and maintaining schedules, monitoring progress and preparing dashboards to support decision-making.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in Engineering/PM and at least 3 years in PMO/Planning, with railway or large-scale projects valued. Fluency in English is mandatory; IPMA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in PMO, Project Controls, Project Planning or Project Coordination.
Experience in railway, transportation, infrastructure or large-scale engineering projects is an advantage.
IPMA Certification is considered an advantage.
Fluency in English (mandatory).

Responsibilities

Support Project Managers in the planning, monitoring and control of project activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones and baseline plans using project management tools.
Monitor project progress, identify deviations and support the implementation of corrective actions.
Prepare project performance reports, dashboards and management presentations.
Support project forecasting activities, including workload planning, resource allocation and schedule updates.
Monitor project KPIs and contribute to project performance improvement initiatives.
Support governance activities, project reviews and management meetings.
