Job summary

Hitachi Rail Portugal, S.A. is seeking a Planner in hybrid regime to support PMO for rail projects. You will develop schedules, monitor progress, and prepare dashboards and reports.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or Project Management, 3+ years in PMO, English fluency; railway project experience is a plus, and IPMA certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• PM knowledge and project controls experience.
• Experience in scheduling, planning and controls.
• Advanced MS Project and Primavera P6 skills.
• Advanced Excel and reporting tools.
• Experience in project reporting, KPI monitoring and performance analysis.
• Power BI knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in planning, monitoring and control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones and baseline plans using project management tools.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations and support corrective actions.
• Prepare project performance reports, dashboards and management presentations.
• Support project forecasting activities, including workload planning, resource allocation and schedule updates.
• Monitor project KPIs and contribute to project performance improvements.
• Support the preparation and follow-up of project invoicing and contractual milestones.
• Coordinate project data collection and ensure consistency of reporting information.
• Contribute to risk and opportunity management activities.
• Support governance activities, project reviews and management meetings.

We are currently looking for a Planner in hybrid regime to join Hitachi Rail Portugal.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Good knowledge of Project Management methodologies and principles.
• Experience in project scheduling, planning and project controls activities.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Oracle Primavera P6.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Experience in project reporting, KPI monitoring and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of Power BI is considered an advantage.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in PMO, Project Controls, Project Planning or Project Coordination roles.
• Experience in railway, transportation, infrastructure or large-scale engineering projects is considered an advantage.
• IPMA Certification is considered an advantage.
• Fluency in English (mandatory).
