Lever, Inc. seeks a Staff Platform Engineer based in Portugal to lead platform foundations for product teams and AI coding agents. You will shape CI/CD, tooling, security, and observability, while staying hands-on with code, infra, and pipelines.

The role emphasizes standardization with team autonomy, security-first delivery, and building reusable components that scale across engineering teams. Remote-friendly, with impact across the org.

Qualificações

• Extensive experience building and operating production-grade platforms.
• Design and develop internal platforms with judicious abstraction and standardization.
• Deep expertise in CI/CD, IaC, testing, tooling, and modern delivery practices.
• Strong security and SecDevOps knowledge.
• Product-oriented mindset for internal platforms and AI agents.
• Fluent with AI coding agents and designer environments.

Responsabilidades

• Shape the platform and infrastructure foundations that product teams build on, balancing standardization with autonomy.
• Improve the full engineering loop: local development, CI/CD, deployment, feedback, and workflows.
• Define and drive engineering standards for testing, IaC, observability, security, and secure delivery.
• Build shared tooling, templates, reusable components, and golden paths to reduce friction.
• Own secure delivery end-to-end by integrating security scanning, secrets, dependencies, and supply-chain protections.
• Monitor security landscape as AI agents evolve, addressing new vulnerabilities.
• Improve repositories, conventions, tooling, and test coverage for AI navigation and reliable results.
• Measure impact with DORA metrics and qualitative feedback to improve developer experience.
• Provide hands-on leadership while contributing to code, infra, pipelines, and tooling.
