Role Introduction

We’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer to provide deep technical leadership across our platform and infrastructure while guiding a high‑impact software and DevOps team. This is a senior role for an experienced engineering leader who can shape architecture, raise engineering standards, and ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure as we grow. You’ll work across product, platform, and cross‑functional teams to build the foundation that powers our AI‑driven hiring products and helps customers move faster with confidence.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and grow the software and DevOps team, creating a strong engineering culture grounded in quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Own the architecture of our web and cloud platform, making thoughtful technical decisions that support scale, performance, and long‑term maintainability.
• Set and evolve engineering best practices across code quality, testing, CI/CD, release management, and developer tooling.
• Drive cloud infrastructure, observability, reliability, and security initiatives to ensure robust production operations.
• Partner closely with product and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver end‑to‑end capabilities that improve the customer experience and accelerate product delivery.
• Guide system design and technical planning for complex platform initiatives, balancing speed, stability, and future flexibility.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including strong depth in full‑stack development and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading or managing software and DevOps teams, with a track record of coaching engineers and elevating team performance.
• Expertise with modern web technologies, especially React and TypeScript, alongside strong knowledge of cloud platforms and CI/CD practices.
• Strong systems design skills with experience building and operating production‑grade platforms focused on reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Hands‑on experience with observability, release processes, developer tooling, and infrastructure that supports fast, safe iteration.
• A collaborative leadership style and the ability to work effectively across engineering and product teams to drive outcomes.

Nice to Have

• Experience building platforms for AI, workflow automation, or data‑intensive products.
• Background supporting fast‑growing startups or scale‑ups through periods of architectural and team evolution.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering practices in cloud‑native environments.
• Experience improving internal developer experience and engineering productivity at scale.
