Pleo, a leading spender management platform, is hiring a Staff Engineer to join Web Core. You’ll help build and maintain scalable web platforms, steer architectural decisions, and drive excellence across Pleo’s frontend ecosystem.

You’ll work across teams to raise the bar on quality, performance, and developer experience, while mentoring engineers and contributing hands-on to code. This role blends strategy with execution in a hybrid workspace across Europe.

Qualifications

• Building and maintaining complex web applications at scale.
• TypeScript and modern frontend engineering (React experience is a bonus).
• Designing maintainable frontend systems and platform boundaries.
• Testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end scopes.
• CI/CD and developer productivity improvements.
• Observability, metrics, logging, and tracing for web systems.
• Collaborating effectively across teams and stakeholders and communicating tradeoffs clearly.

Responsabilités

• Set technical direction for parts of our web platform and align across teams.
• Identify leverage opportunities to improve quality, delivery speed, and reliability.
• Partner with product engineers and leads to design ecosystem-aligned solutions.
• Build and evolve internal tooling, frameworks, and golden paths for scale.
• Improve CI and local developer workflows for reliability and speed.
• Coach engineers and grow frontend leadership within the team.
• Contribute hands-on code and balance strategy with execution.
