Job summary

HN Services Portugal is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Lisbon team. You will work closely with software, infrastructure and operations to keep services reliable, scalable and secure.

Responsibilities include monitoring and triaging incidents, automating repetitive tasks, supporting deployments, and defining SLOs/SLIs. Candidates should have strong Linux/Unix skills, proficiency in Python/Bash/Go, and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and scripting (Python, Bash, or Go).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure as code and configuration management (Terraform or Ansible).
• Understanding of networking, databases and distributed systems.
• Experience supporting production environments and managing incidents.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health, availability and performance of applications and infrastructure.
• Respond to production incidents, troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
• Improve system reliability through automation, capacity planning and operational improvements.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting and observability solutions.
• Support deployments and enable reliable release and rollback processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve performance, resilience and maintainability.
• Help define and improve SLIs and SLOs.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks and incident reports.
• Identify recurring issues and implement preventive solutions.
• Collaborate with teams across software, infrastructure and operations.
