WE ARE META in Porto is hiring a Software Engineer (Java) to join a team that connects Rhinos to exciting projects. You will work with Java, SpringBoot, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes on scalable microservices in a hybrid Porto setting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of software development, strong API design, and experience with React or Angular is a plus. English (B2) is required; EU citizenship or Portuguese work permit is advantageous.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer, with Java and SpringBoot.
• Proficient in AWS, Microservices, Design Patterns, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices (Gitflow, IaC).
• Experience with React or Angular is a strong plus.
• Experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Solid grasp of API security, data privacy, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Fluency in English (B2)

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, working with Java and SpringBoot
• Proficient in AWS, Microservices architecture, Design Patterns, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices (Gitflow, IaC)
• Experience with React or Angular is a strong plus
• Experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL is a plus;
• Solid grasp of API security, data privacy, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Fluency in English (B2)

Important:

This position is following a hybrid regime, 3x/week, in Porto. Candidates should be based in Portugal and have a Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit to be considered.
