We Are META seeks a Java Developer to join the Rhino team, designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using Java and Spring Boot. You will work in a hybrid setup with Porto-based days.

The role emphasizes writing clean code, conducting code reviews, and following Agile practices, with clear updates to stakeholders. English (B2) is required, and Porto presence 2 days per week is essential.

Qualificações

• 3 to 6 years of experience as a Java Developer.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot to design, develop, and maintain scalable web apps.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code across the full stack.
• Ability to conduct code reviews and deliver constructive feedback.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and sprint planning.
• Strong communication skills for timely updates to stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (B2).
• Hybrid work model: 2 days per week in Porto.
• Based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit.

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• 3 to 6 years of experience as a Java Developer
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot is required to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across the full application stack is essential.
• Familiarity with conducting code reviews and delivering constructive feedback to peers supports team code quality standards.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, including sprint planning and daily stand‑ups, is necessary for team collaboration.
• Strong communication skills are needed to provide clear, timely updates on task status, blockers, and timelines to stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (B2)
• Availability for Hybrid work model 2 x week based in Porto
