Cognizant is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultant to lead technical deployments of cloud-based ServiceNow solutions from Spain or Portugal. You will develop modules, configure the platform, and deliver high-quality solutions across the full project lifecycle while working remotely.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, strong scripting, and ITIL knowledge. English fluent; Spanish a plus. Permanent contract with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualificações

• CSA certification required; CAD or CIS certifications desirable.
• Strong scripting knowledge: JavaScript, GlideScript, HTML, CSS.

Responsabilidades

• Perform core configuration and customization on the ServiceNow platform (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies)
• Design and develop custom applications, forms, lists, dashboards
• Create and optimize workflows and Flow Designer flows for ITIL processes
• Develop and maintain the Service Portal using HTML, CSS, AngularJS
• Implement and support integrations with external systems via REST/SOAP/JDBC
• Manage CMDB data integrity and Transform Maps
• Collaborate with consultants and analysts to translate requirements into technical designs
• Conduct unit testing, support QA/UAT, and manage code migration using Update Sets/CI/CD
• Adhere to best practices to minimize technical debt and ensure platform stability
• Produce detailed technical documentation and post-implementation guides
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to varied audiences
• Provide 2nd/3rd line ServiceNow support, resolving incidents and defects

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development, configuration, and implementation experience across multiple modules
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) — required
• Certified Application Developer (CAD) or one or more CIS certifications (CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITAM, CIS-SIR) — desired
• Strong scripting knowledge in JavaScript including GlideScript, HTML, CSS, and general web technologies
• Demonstrated implementation experience in at least one major ServiceNow suite: ITSM, HAM/SAM, ITOM, or SecOps-SIR
• Experience with CMDB, CSDM, and managing data through import sets and transform maps
• Experience implementing and supporting integrations using REST/SOAP web services, Integration Hub, and JDBC
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems such as SAP, Azure, Active Directory, Teams, Snowflake, or Power BI — a plus
• Strong understanding of ITSM principles and ITIL best practices
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies for platform development and release management
• Degree in Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
• Excellent communication skills — able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluent English — required. Spanish language skills are a plus

What you'll do

• Perform core configuration and customisation tasks on the ServiceNow platform including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs
• Design and develop custom applications, forms, lists, reports, and dashboards to meet client‑specific requirements
• Create, configure, and optimise workflows, Flow Designer flows, and custom workflow activities for Service Catalog and ITIL processes
• Develop and maintain the Service Portal using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and other web technologies
• Implement and support integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP, Integration Hub, and JDBC
• Manage platform data using Import Sets and Transform Maps, ensuring CMDB integrity and CSDM compliance
• Work closely with Functional Consultants and Business Analysts to translate process requirements into efficient technical designs
• Conduct unit testing, support QA and UAT, and manage code migration across instances using Update Sets or CI/CD pipelines
• Adhere to ServiceNow and industry best practices to minimise technical debt and ensure platform stability
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation including design specifications, development logs, and post-implementation guides
• Communicate technical problems and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level ServiceNow support, resolving incidents, enhancements, and defects using JavaScript and server‑side scripting
