Vantage Towers is seeking a ServiceNow Team Manager (m/f/d) in Lisbon. The role combines hands-on ServiceNow development with people leadership, driving platform architecture, reliability and stakeholder-aligned roadmaps. You will mentor a multinational team in a hybrid setup, balancing technical delivery with team growth.

Fluent English is required. A university degree in a tech field and extensive ServiceNow experience are essential to lead scalable, secure solutions across ITSM/ITOM domains.

Qualificações

• University degree in computer science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience in ServiceNow development delivering production-grade solutions, combined with prior people management or team leadership experience in agile, distributed, and multinational setups.

Responsabilidades

• Dual-Remit Leadership: act as hands-on technical expert and people manager, driving ServiceNow solutions and team growth.
• Technical Delivery & Architecture: design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure, maintainable ServiceNow enhancements.
• People Management & Mentorship: support career progression through 1:1s, feedback, coaching, and development plans.
• Engineering Standards & Stability: improve engineering practices, ensure platform reliability, minimize incidents, maintain docs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Roadmaps: align delivery plans with IT and business stakeholders; contribute to platform roadmaps.

Your Responsibilities

• Dual-Remit Leadership: You act as a hands-on technical expert and people manager, driving both ServiceNow solutions and the growth, engagement, and performance of assigned employees (including team members outside your immediate stream).
• Technical Delivery & Architecture: You provide technical leadership by designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable, secure, and maintainable enhancements on the ServiceNow platform, translating complex requirements into robust implementation designs.
• People Management & Mentorship: You support your team's career progression and wellbeing through regular 1:1s, constructive feedback, coaching, and individual development plans while aligning training opportunities.
• Engineering Standards & Stability: You continuously improve engineering practices (code quality, testing, release practices), ensure high platform reliability, and minimize incidents while keeping appropriate technical documentation up to date.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Roadmaps: You collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align delivery plans, influence project priorities, and contribute to the definition of technical platform roadmaps.

Your Profile

• Educational Background: University degree in computer science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in ServiceNow development delivering production-grade solutions, combined with prior people management or team leadership experience in agile, distributed, and multinational setups.

Technical Skills

• Required: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting/configuration patterns (e.G., Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Flow Designer, UI Builder). Robust experience with integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server), data management, and platform upgrade/release practices.
• Nice to have: ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or CIS are a strong advantage. Exposure to specific modules like ITSM, CSM, HRSD, HAM/SAM, or ITOM.
• Soft Skills: High level of technical judgment and problem-solving.
• Strong capability to lead through influence, resolve conflicts, and balance hands-on technical delivery with supportive, people-centric leadership responsibilities.

Language Proficiency

Fluent English (C1 level), both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills.
