Vantage Towers is seeking a ServiceNow Engineer to design, develop, and deploy platform enhancements with a focus on AI-powered capabilities and low-code solutions. You will translate business needs into scalable configurations, work with analysts and stakeholders, and ensure high-quality releases.

The role is based in Portugal with a hybrid arrangement (2 days in Lisbon office, 3 days remote), offering professional growth, training opportunities, and a collaborative, international environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technology, engineering, science, mathematics, or relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on development experience delivering ServiceNow solutions.
• Experience in full software development lifecycle within an international environment.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow enhancements, scripts, workflows, and configurations.
• Implement AI-powered capabilities and low-code development using ServiceNow and JavaScript best practices.
• Clarify requirements with analysts and stakeholders and translate into scalable solutions.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and release activities to ensure reliable platform changes.
• Maintain technical documentation for configurations, scripts, integrations and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and code quality.

Your Responsibilities

• Platform Development & Configuration: You design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow enhancements, scripts, workflows, forms, flows, and platform configurations under the agreed delivery scope and standards.
• AI Implementation: You implement AI-powered capabilities and low-code development solutions using ServiceNow and JavaScript best practices.
• Requirements Translation: You work alongside business analysts, senior developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Testing & Release Support: You support testing, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and release activities to ensure all platform changes are reliable, secure, and aligned with guidelines.
• Technical Documentation: You maintain clear technical documentation for delivered configurations, scripts, integrations, and support procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: You contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, code quality, testing, and platform maintainability to achieve low defect leakage and reliable commitments.

Your Profile

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technology, engineering, science, mathematics, or relevant professional experience.
• Professional Experience: Practical hands‑on development experience delivering ServiceNow solutions and contributing to the full software development lifecycle within a collaborative, international environment.
• Technical Skills:
  • Required: Solid JavaScript skills and proficiency in ServiceNow scripting/configuration patterns (e.g., Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and Workflows). Working knowledge of ServiceNow architecture and low-code development.
  • Nice to have: ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or CIS are a strong advantage. Experience with implementing AI-powered capabilities or handling enterprise-scale integrations is highly valued.
• Soft Skills: Proactive, customer‑centric approach with a continuous improvement mindset. You are comfortable working across multiple teams, managing priorities, and possess the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed stakeholder setup.
• Language Proficiency: Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.

This role will be based in Portugal. Vantage Towers operates in eight different European countries.
