Elastic, the Search AI Company, invites a Senior Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch - Storage Engine team. You will design, implement, and optimize Elasticsearch's core storage and query engine, focusing on performance, storage layouts, and indexing for observability workloads.

The role is fully remote and globally distributed. You will collaborate across continents, mentor engineers, and drive architectural evolution in a fast-paced, open-source style environment with a strong emphasis

Qualificações

• Strong Java expertise and concurrent programming skills.
• Experience building high-performance storage or database systems.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch internals is a plus.
• Ability to mentor engineers and work in a distributed team.

Responsabilidades

• Lead architectural evolution of core storage engine components.
• Lead cross-organizational initiatives for observability solutions.
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineers on logs and metrics.
