Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch Storage Engine team. The role is fully remote with a globally distributed team and focuses on core storage and query technologies for observability workloads.

You will design, implement, and optimize the Elasticsearch storage engine and contribute to performance tuning and data layouts. The ideal candidate has strong Java skills, experience with high-performance distributed systems, and a track record of improving storage

Qualificações

• Must have strong programming skills in Java and systems programming.
• Experience with distributed systems, storage engines, or databases is preferred.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the architectural evolution of core storage engine components and optimize performance and storage efficiency.
• Collaborate with a globally distributed team to advance Elasticsearch storage and query capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices, code quality, and architectural clarity across the platform.
