Elasticsearch B.V. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch - Search Relevance team. You will help shape the technical direction, design new search features, and resolve complex bugs across a distributed engineering organization.

You will write idiomatic Java, contribute to Lucene and vector search, and collaborate with engineers worldwide to deliver fast, scalable search experiences.

Qualificações

• Experience with search or vector databases at scale.
• Strong Java and concurrency knowledge; Lambdas.
• Autonomous, able to own projects end-to-end.
• Collaborate asynchronously across distributed teams.
• Familiar with data storage tech like Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.

Responsabilidades

• Lead initiatives to deliver industry-leading search with speed and relevance.
• Contribute to Elasticsearch features and fix intriguing bugs; craft maintainable code.
• Work with a globally distributed team on vector search capabilities.
• Be the expert on Elasticsearch search relevance and drive improvements.
• Review community contributions, triage issues, and collaborate across teams.
